The CariFree System is a revolutionary detection and treatment system specifically designed to help prevent cavities. In addition to protecting your teeth, the CariFree System will protect your wallet. The CariFree treatment is affordable and by preventing cavities, you help save money on future dental procedures.
The first part of the procedure involves a fast pain-free diagnosis with CariScreen®. For best results, do not eat or brush your teeth for at least one hour before your test. Dr. Boldt will simply rub two of your teeth with a cotton swab and place the swab in the meter. The meter detects decay-causing bacteria and will indicate if you have a low, moderate, or high risk of developing cavities in the future. It is recommended that patients receive the CariScreen procedure once a year.
If cavity-causing bacteria are present, Dr. Boldt will recommend the CariFree Treatment Program, which consists of a series of anti-microbial pH balancing mouth rinses. The CariFree mouth rinses are very easy to use and affordable. Simply use the CariFree mouth rinse twice a day per your dentist’s instructions. It’s that easy to reduce your risk of cavities!
